”GUSOKU”

The Twelve Divine Generals are often depicted standing in armour, composed yet charged with presence.
I translated that bearing not into a human figure, but into the structure of a vessel. Fragmented forms overlap and connect, creating a silhouette that resembles a single body. Armour protects, while a vessel receives.
By bringing these seemingly opposing structures together, I explored a form that stands in the liminal space between strength and fragility.

GUSOKU
Gusoku is a Japanese term for a complete set of samurai armour.
